Mission Statement Generator

Quite a few years ago the Dilbert website had a brilliant mission statement generator up, which was here: dilbert.com/comics/dilbert/games/career/bin/ms.cgi.

Unfortunately, for reasons that were not made clear it is no longer on the Dilbert website. So, I decided to write my own mission statement generator for fun as a side project. The result of this project can be found here: cmorse.org/missiongen

Please leave a comment if you have any problems or find a bug with it.

  1. Thank you, I have been missing this very helpful generator, as we are coming up on year 5 to recontextualize and reenvision our mission to make our services effectual and prominent in a competitive, technologically, savvy global environment. Many thanks for building such a helpful tool!

    • How’s that going for you? Having a vague, unoriginal, 2 paragraph long, meaningless, empty mission statement that not even an employee, customer or client could give a crap about.

  2. Hi Caleb, this is great! However, we do not understand how we can choose words to tailor to our dire needs – 2013 is creeping up on us, and dec 21th might fail – help!!!

  3. Well Done!
I too have looked for Dilbert’s Mission Statement Generator and been disappointed that it is no longer available. This is an excellent re-creation of the original

  4. Please add words that apply to higher education as the accreditation powers-that-be require colleges to submit mission statements that differentiate them from other colleges that teach the same disciplines. I don’t think we can all do it without some help from the generator! Thanks for the fun tool!
